What ideas/concepts did Wagner convey in his text that validate beliefs that you already hold about education?

Group 1

1. Teachers as facilitators rather than sage on stage.
2. Teams work collaboratively rather than for individual gain.
3. Something needs a paradigm shift. Adapt to change.

1. We believe that our standardized testing system has many flaws.
2. Technology is changing very quickly. We are falling behind. Being in a financial crisis complicates things even more.
3. There is a need for more collaborative, hands on lessons.
4. Sometimes teachers are too confident and rest on their laurels. There is always room for improvement. The data should humble us. We are not at the top like we used to be.
